Milia

Milia seeds are small bumps that appear on the skin. They are caused by clogged of eccrine sweat glands. Although mostly harmless, many find milia unsightly.

Moles

Moles form when melanocytes cluster together in the skin, instead of being spread out. In some cases, moles are unsightly or dangerous (cancer-causing) and may be removed.

Cysts

Cysts are sac-like or capsule structures that are filled with substances. They can be caused by infections or clogging of sebaceous glands.

Syringoma

Syringoma are sweat duct tumors which are often found on the upper cheeks and lower eyelids. They are mostly harmless but can be unsightly.

TREATMENT & REMOVAL METHODS

Laser Removal
Focal ablative lasers can be used to remove the aforementioned growths. This method reduces damage to the skin cells. The healing process is faster and the downtime is lower. Lasers are best for superficial growths.

Excision
For deeper moles/growths, minor surgical excision with fine sutures are required. The downtime is also quite minimal, between 5 days to 1 week.

WHY SHOULD I SEE A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL?
