FAQ
Who is suitable for Shock Wave Therapy?
Wave Therapy is suitable for people who have blood flow related ED, and people who have cardiovascular conditions (eg. diabetes).
Not sure if you are suitable?
You can have a preliminary discussion with our doctor via Whatsapp.
How does Shock Wave Therapy compare to alternatives?
ED can be treated momentarily with pills. Treatment via pills is short-lived and requires continued reliance. Meaning to say, ED medication does not cure the underlying problem.
When purchasing ED medication, it is best to obtain it from reliable sources. There have been instances of fake ED medications marketed as the real deal. These imitations of legitimate brands often originate from China or Malaysia. As they are not regulated by any medical authority, imitation pills may be manufactured in unsanitary conditions or contain harmful ingredients.
Surgical procedures and implants are other alternatives to treat ED. However, they are usually only recommended if other treatments are unsucessful.
Avoid consuming illegal or unregulated erectile dysfunction supplements, or ” candy “. These are non-medical-grade treatments that are not approved by the HSA – they may cause more harm than good. Recorded side effects include heart attacks, strokes, vision, and hearing loss.
How many sessions do I need?
According to clinical studies, the recommended course of ESWT treatment is 6 sessions.
Are there any side effects?
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) has been used for the treatment of vascular ED since 2010 [1]. It is a non-invasive procedure and has no recorded side effects.
